Cody Rhodes’ neck tattoo has been a source of humor since his debut in 2020. But, as he confirmed in a new interview with Sports Illustrated This week, he didn’t feel any sadness from WWE officials like Vince McMahon or locker room veterans like Randy Orton. Instead, WWE will be looking to capitalize on him by releasing a temporary tattoo to match Cody in the near future.
“Vince [McMahon] He didn’t say anything [negative] About tattoos, Rhodes said. I’ve been waiting for some of those guys who knew me back in the day to say something, especially Bruce [Prichard] and Michael Hayes. even randy [Orton] He didn’t say anything, which came as a shock to me as I wasn’t a tattoo guy and he was covered up. But it is good to have. The temporary tattoos will be released by the WWE Store, and people are now seeing it as an extension of me. That’s what it is. When I was here before, everyone tried to tell me who I was. That wasn’t a bad thing – I was looking too. Now I’m getting to my final form. This is why I stick my guns around my character, keeping them as close to my character as possible. But I promise you this – I won’t get another one.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Rhodes spoke about Roman Reigns’ eventual challenge for the WWE Universal Championship – “Roman Reigns and I, we haven’t had any interaction yet. We haven’t crossed tracks in the ring. I’ve seen enough that I know is unbelievable, it’s Best when you see it up close.So this isn’t the easiest path I’ve chosen.But I know I can do it.
“I think I’m the best wrestler in the world,” he added. “And I think it’s by a large margin. It annoys a lot of people, but I don’t mean to make you angry. That’s all I do. I’m not responsible. I’m here to hone my craft, build my body, and win matches. Every week, I have to be better. That’s clarity.” The absolute for me. I’m in the main show. Look at Hell and Greatness.
